The Brontë Sisters

The lives of the Brontë sisters are well documented, from the official biography by Elizabeth Gaskell (first published in 1857) to the more recent biographies by Winifred Gerin, Margot Peters, and Lyndall Gordon; Lucasta Miller’s book discusses the legend that grew up around them, and the truth behind it.

You’ll find pages about Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre and Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights on this site, as well as information about Haworth where they lived.

The Brontë Society has it’s own Brontë Parsonage Museum website and Brontë Parsonage Blog.

There’s a comprehensive and frequently updated Brontë Blog, as well as the Brontëana Blog.

The BBC’s Brontës of Haworth is also well worth a look, and I could hardly fail to mention the Haworth Village Brontë pages.
