Alderley Edge

Alderley Edge, the view from Stormy Point.

A site of special scientific interest owned by the national trust, with wooded slopes, abandoned mine, and views out across Cheshire, the Edge features in a number of books by Alan Garner, including the Weirdstone of Brisingamen and The Moon of Gomrath.

The Black Bull and Haworth Church

Home of the Brontë Sisters. The surrounding area provided inspiration for many of the locations in Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and their other novels.
